Well, hello, hello, hello. A colleague asked me the other day if I was still baking… and I had to confess that I hadn’t really baked very much since I returned to work from maternity leave in January. With a 4.5 year old and a 1.5 year old, I’m not quite at the point where I can leave my little one to be independent and have an extra 15 minutes here and there to get to some baking. Since I’ve been down this road before, I know full well that this is temporary and things will get a bit easier, so I’m being patient. Besides, after a full day’s work, and then coming home to prepare dinner, bathe the kids, attend to some piano practice or basic homework, tidy up, all before my husband gets home, I’m absolutely beat.
